Current Schedule TBA April 2008 General Class Details I teach in a Mystery School format, as well as in a workshop format. Mystery School is based on a largely self-directed curriculum, in that you are not made aware of the curriculum, other than the session topic, ahead of time. Mystery School also spans over several weeks, during which you have many exercises in class and as homework. Workshops are generally one day, except where noted, and the material covered in each is fairly well described ahead of class. The curriculum for workshops is set and only self-directed in that your journey experiences are unique. Workshops are taught in my home, in Cary, NC, unless otherwise noted. Class taught offsite will have different rates and requirements. For such classes contact me for details. Please note that I have pets, should allergies be a problem for classes taught in my home. As well, please inform me in advance of any accessiblity restrictions or physical limitations. If you would like to host a workshop in another location, please contact me to make arrangements. I love to travel! I will teach any workshop on demand; however, the Power Spirits Retrieval Class must be completed (or contact me to discuss your prior knowledge of journey work) in order to participate in advanced workshops. For all workshops, a non-refundable security deposit is required at least a week prior to the workshop. I prefer to have a minimum of four participants for each workshop. Some Advanced Workshops may be split over two days. Also, note that any of the workshop material can be taught one-on-one in private sessions. All full-day workshops taught in my home are from 10am - 5pm, in Cary, NC. The cost of these one-day workshops is $90. A non-refundable deposit of $45 is required to secure your space for a class. For all full day workshops taught in my home, there is a 30 minute break for lunch, and other short breaks as needed into the afternoon. Fruit, hot water for herbal teas, and heavy snacks are provided. Please bring: a pillow and blanket--whatever you need to be comfy on the floor pen and paper blindfold or scarf rattle and/or drum if you have them If your drinking preference is other than water, juice or herbal tea, bring that, as well as necessary food items. Please don't drink alcohol for 24 hours prior to this workshop. If you usually drink coffee, consume your normal amount. Wear loose, comfy clothing. Power Spirits Retrieval Meet your animal and spirit guides through learning the ancient trance technique of shamanic journeying to your lower, middle and upper worlds in this experiential workshop. This class includes an excursion into Nature (rain or shine), retrieving animal and spirit guides for yourself, and time permitting, we will retrieve guides for others, remember your High Self, and find your power song. My goal for you in this workshop is that in finding connections to your spirit allies, you find your power and a means to connect with your spiritual resources throughout life. Please note that this workshop OR completing its coursework in private sessions with me is the prerequisite for all advanced classes that I teach, as well as for Mystery School. If you have not done the Power Spirits Retrieval Class, but have experience journeying and would like to take an advanced class with me, let's talk about your comfort level and see if an advanced class would be right for you. Advanced Workshops The Dreaming Tree Based on experiences in my book, Gift of the Dreamtime, learn the power of your personal mythology and symbols to reclaim your power and heal yourself. In this workshop, you become more active in your own creative process, commanding the resources, relationships, and habits to carry out your deepest most important dream: your Truth. This workshop is more than learning dream interpretation. It is learning how to work with your High Self and guides through dreams to promote healing. The Dreaming Tree is a collection of techniques shown to me by my guides, such that upon completion you have honed the ability to symbolically examine an event, relationship, pattern, etc, and see how it best relates to you, or can be released. This two-day workshop is from 10am - 5pm. The cost of this workshop is $200. A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to secure your space for a class. Deposit must be received at least one week prior to the workshop.Otherwise, please plan on the same schedule and format as in the Power Spirits Retrieval Workshop. As well, the Power Spirits Retrieval workshop or other experience with shamanic journey is necessary to have success in The Dreaming Tree class. This workshop is currently being offered 12-13 February. Psychopomp/Deathwalking Learn death walking, shamanic techniques to release the dead, and shamanic approaches to hospice . This class includes techniques taught to me by my guides in releasing the dead, and closing the chakras of the physical body. Entity Extraction Learn techniques to remove illness or blocks from the astral bodies and life force (qi); master the tool of dismemberment and re-membering. Life Regression/Progression Past life regression to learn the nature of a current block or pattern; working with a future self aspect to gain insight into a block or pattern. See the First Wound, its lineage into the present, the Nemesis, and a fully Healed Self. This class includes techniques taught to me by my guides in working with future aspects of the self. Learning Life Purpose From the beginning of time, learn the life purpose you chose for yourself to carry out in this and all of your lives, as well as the purpose you, with your Higher Power, set for yourself. Ancestral Allies Learn techniques, including two versions of the Native American Ghost, or Dream Dance, to meet with your ancestral allies and gain rituals from them. This class also includes methods taught to me by my guides to create a prayer stick. Prayer sticks are used to carry prayers, or sometimes souls of the deceased, to Spirit. You will meet with your guides to learn how you can use a prayer stick to release what needs it most in your life, to Spirit. Some materials (sticks, feathers, sinew, beads) for creating sticks will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. I will not provide carving knives, should you want to decorate your prayer stick in that fashion. Please bring a bandanna for the dances, and any other general class comforts, as listed above. Balancing Ancestral Karma Learn to trace illness, patterns and blocks in the ancestral lineage to the First Wound, see their Nemeses, and to heal them through the present and into the future for a healed spiritual relationship and Self; to release karmic debt. This class includes techniques taught to me by my guides in releasing inherited illness. The techniques apply to inherited energy blocks originating at the emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical levels. Chakra/Life Force Balancing Learn to find your technique for sensing the body's life force, the chakra system, and how to care for them. This class includes techniques taught to me by my guides in finding one's unique way to read the body's life force, and to distribute its abundance throughout one's energy and one's life. This class includes sensing energy fields in waking, as well as in journey. Spirit Boat Learn an ancient Native American technique for a group of shaman to retrieve a lost animal guide for one who is ill. Spirit Mate, anam chara Learn to find one's spiritual mate/spouse (not to be confused with a soul mate). Also, find your anam chara, or "soul friend", according to Celtic tradition. Make peace with sex and all body sensation. Lift the body veil. Find your sexual "truth". Power Helper Retrieval Learn to retrieve power items for specific relationships or situations in life. Power Items may include a power symbol, gemstone, plant, tree, and insect. These are advanced classess, for which the Power Spirits Retrieval class is a prerequisite. I need four participants minimum for these classes. The Body Awake For trauma survivors. Learn your own rituals to reconnect to Spirit, using your elemental and directional cosmology (medicine wheel). Heal the connection between each body element (mind, body, soul, emotions) and Spirit, which was severed at the time of the trauma. This class is based on techniques taught to me by my guides, and is detailed in The Body Awake. This is a two-day class. A variation of this class is also offered alternately for survivors of chronic illness, upon request. Survivors and Partners Co-healing For sexual assault survivors and their partners. Learn techniques to become re-acquainted in your relationship, free from abuse "strings"; how to heal each other from the effects abuse has had in your relationship. This class is based on techniques taught to me by my guides in my own healing work. This class is intended for all parties of the relationship. Namaste! ~skh
